Fertilisation is taken care of with a special liquid fertiliser mixed with water according to the directions on the bottle or a special slow-release fertiliser that automatically provides the plant with everything the plant needs for healthy growth. One application of slow-release preparation lasts up to six months. The nutrient is simply spread on the LECA and watered in, that's it!

Fertilising Tips:

• No danger. Hydroculture liquid complete nutrient should be added to the water exactly as directed on the bottle. If you follow the directions to the letter there is no danger whatsoever of giving the plants too much food.

• Small containers. For small containers you should only use liquid complete nutrient as there is a risk that the water-level indicator could clog up if you use the slow-release food.

• Set & Forget! To help remind you when to feed your plants again, just set the dial on the in built water-level indicator the next time they need feeding.
